I don't know how it started but suddenly I have a pincushion collection.
It started with one from Lynda Hall which I blogged about here. And another one I received not long ago from Carol that I blogged about here.
Then there are my own pincushion patterns that I sell. I taught the class at the Quilters of SC retreat last year. It seemed so popular that I am teaching it again this year.
Last week at the Kernersville quilt show, I bought these two little beauties from the guild boutique.
The cat is made of wool . . . . purrfect for me. The little antique quilt is sitting inside a muffin tin.
I also made this cute little pattern from Hatched and Patched. Mine is packed away with my show stuff. I thought I had blogged about it but can't seem to find the post. I stole this picture from Anni's website.
What sewing things do you collect?
Blessings, Cathi

What adorable pin cushions!!
Okay...that cat cushion....wish I knew a pattern source for that! Do you? If not....get busy and make one for me will ya! LOL Actually I love it for me but it is too darned purrfect for Shirley's upcoming birthday (you met her last month). Enjoy your weekend! It is a scorcher and I need to get out there to help with the yards some.
That's how these things start. You have a nice collection. I love that primitive bird pincushion.
I have a pincushion collection. I didn't really start out to have one but it just kind of happened when I started working with wool. Just a natural happening.
I'm not sure I collect sewing things on purpose, but I have a mess of stuff. Fabric, of course, I have 6 pincushions and several thimbles. They were my Mom's and will never be given away in my lifetime. I love all of it.
Besides yarn, fabric and floss which we all seem to have I too love pincushions. I think I like the instant gratification of a pincushion project - and they are just too cute to resist! Love your patterns too.
I love pincushions...can't ever have too many!
Lovely and a very nice blog too !!
I guess my largest collection is dust. I am running out of places to keep it though as I store it all over the house, on all my shelves, tables, cabinets - you name it, I have it on display there! Love the pincushions, I have some of those too (some are also used to display my dust, I might add.)
Pincushions are a great collection - I seem to have collected a few myself *s*
As of this very moment I would say that my best collection is UFO's. As I unpack, I keep pulling things out and saying, "oh yeah, I remember this one - I really should get it done."
Oh,those are cute. I don't really collect pincushions on purpose but I do have a lot of them. I love collecting old plastic buttons.
