Forgot about this little guy . . . . . .

If you have been keeping up, the Computer Geek has moved out of the house leaving an empty room!  Yaaay for me.  I have decided to do a little rearranging in his room to hold some of my fabric stash.  I've had to go search through plastic bins in a storage building for the last two years.  It's gotten kind of old now.

Thought I would show this little quilt that I made about 8 years ago for his room.  It was my first attempt at stippling.  The stippling is much too close but I was excited that I had finished it.

I tried not to go in his room while he lived there except maybe twice a year for a good dusting.  Hence I forgot about the quilt being in there. It's time for a fresh, clean sweep in the room before I hang this back up.

Blessings, Cathi

It is amazing what we can find not knowing we had forgotten about it....

Does that mean you can now purchase more because you have a place to store your stash...just wondering. Glad to hear you have a place to store your stash. Hugs

I ventured into my sons room twice a year to retrieve all the dirty towels that somehow disappeared or pick up the half full pop cans that looks like a potential mess waiting to happen. Forget dusting!
Love the little quilt! I moved into my sons room after he abruptly moved out. He moved back in the following spring and my sewing room moved out into the hall. Then he moved out again, I moved in. Now he's back and I'm back in the hall...
Good luck to you! I hope it's permanent and he's launched for good!

It is sad and funny at the same time how they move out then back in. Us mom's just do what we can to keep the family happy.

That is a very nice wall hanging. So are you going to turn his room into your sewing room aka studio?

Oooh I have to go into my son's room one day soon, or the dustbunnies will rise up against us and take over our house. Love the quilt!

Isn't it great that we can find "our space" after they move out! I remember one Easter my then 31 year old son came to breakfast and said "where's my Easter Basket"...I looked him straight in the eye and said "where's my sewing room"! He moved out 6 months later...yippee!!!
Love the little quilt!

Yay for a new room to store fabric in! I can't imagine me having to go to a storage building to search through fabric bins. When we lived in South Carolina, I had three rooms I could store fabric or projects in. I only used two but it was a luxury.

How were the words done for the little quilt? I like the piece.

Cute quilt! I don't remember ever seeing a pattern for this one.

Are you tempted to use his room for another sewing room?

Oh Lordy...I tell ya...with the house up for sale I "must go in" to take out the dust bunnies and such on our 17 year old's room regularly....otherwise...wouldn't even go near it! LOL

Sweet quilt. I think when my daughter moves out I am going to my quilting stuff downstairs so I don't have to go up and down the stairs. I just hate it when I forget something and have to go back up. ugh!
