Now where did I leave off?

Last we talked, I was in the middle of the Forsyth County quilt show.  The show was wonderful and there was a great turnout.  On Sunday, Debbie from From the Strawberry Patch came by to visit.  Isn't she just adorable?!  (She would be the adorable one on the left).

The next weekend I was at the annual Quilters of South Carolina spring meeting.  It was held in Sumter, South Carolina.  We had Gyleen Fitzgerald as our guest speaker this year.  What a great public speaker she was!  If you ever get to hear her speak . . . . . Our class samples were displayed for the class we are to teach at the Fall Retreat.  I am teaching a penny rug class but haven't taken a picture of it yet.

This past week, I took a class with internationally-known teacher Pat Sloan.  The class focused on creating applique backgrounds from something OTHER than beige.  I am the queen of beige!  How did I do?  I'll let you know after I get home and take a picture of the background I finished.  My applique will be in wool, of course!!

And today, I am in Hilton Head Island for the Palmetto Quilt Guild quilt show.  Some of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen.  Really!

Isn't this beautiful?  And it won a second place ribbon!

The show runs today and tomorrow from 10 until 5 and is located at the St. Andrews-By-The-Sea UMC, 20 Pope Avenue on beautiful Hilton Head Island.  Only blocks from the beach!

Blessings, Cathi
