Baby Star Quilt . . . . .

Remember this little quilt I made for my GoCutter demo?

It's all quilted already with binding!   Instead of washing it the traditional way, I soaked it in leftover coffee, then washed and dried it.

The white background was a little too white for me.  This gave it just enough to knock the edge off the whiteness.  I think this will be a perfect little table topper in the spring.

Finally getting some great fall weather and I'm talking about Spring already!

You are right...softens it right up...and will look great on a Spring table! Good thinking!

Looks lovely! Brace yourself...it will be very chilly in the morning hours this weekend. I too enjoyed the warmth of the day clearing out tons of leaves...temps dropping fast!

I love how the coffee took the edge off the white and softened the colors a bit. I have a few little quilts I need to do that to. Thanks for the idea! :0)

The coffee bath worked well. I am not fond of white, white in my quilts. Maybe for a snowman but I prefer even an off white or dulled white for them.

Very nice. They definitely look like two different quilts.
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Love the time worn look the coffee gave it!
