My ladder quilts . . . . .

Several years ago, my father let me have this old ladder.  He knew I would find something to do with it.

I talked Dear Hubby into mounting it on the wall to the left of the fireplace.  It's a great place to hang some of my quilts.  He screwed some scrap 1x4s (painted the wall color) onto the back of the ladder.  Then screwed the ladder to the wall through the 1x4s.

With the downstairs remodel, this ladder will be coming off the wall so a large bookcase can take over.  But I think I have found a perfect new spot for it.  I just have to wait until it is up to show you.  You know, in case I'm wrong or something and it doesn't work out!

I have an old ladder like that but mine just leans up against the wall. It's a great way to show off quilts! :0)

I too have an old ladder out back that was slated for the trash, but thanks to you and several other blogger friends it will either go in my garden or.... in the house for quilt display. Another great excuse to make more quilts and keep them for myself!

This is such a great idea I hope you don't mind if I borrow it. I have a small area in my craft room and didn't know what to do with it. Now I know!!

I love that. Ours just leans against a wall. Maybe-just maybe-I can talk hubby into hanging ours!

Your dad was a smart man! Too many people would have just thrown it out. Nice job!

I have an old ladder for some of my quilts as well. I saw a red one in town last weekend, and it was only $5. It was small, but I need to get back there and get it!! I just prop my ladder up against the wall, but I like your idea of hanging it up.

Great idea. I have one leaning against the wall in my sewing room, but I like the idea of hanging it. Thanks for sharing!
