I bought 2 yards of this fun toile fabric by Alexander Henry called "midnight pastoral" . This is just a one of the scenes.
I'm thinking a very traditional quilt with this as the background and oranges and blacks for the rest of the quilt. I would like to make the pattern that uses the snowball block and the nine-patch in an alternating pattern. Does that have a formal name? I could do the math myself but if it's already been done. . . . . .
Apparently this fabric has been out for at least a year and I didn't know it. I don't get out much . . . . . .

Hmmm, that is very interesting fabric. It will make a great fall quilt. I know what kind of block you are talking about but I dont know the name.
Now that is something else. Just looking at it from a distance, it looks like a traditional toile print. Obviously, it is a little on the "other" side. A quilt with Halloween colors would be good.
So funny...I have been looking for toile for the twisted pinwheel quilt I want to make in blue and white. But I am looking for the more traditional. I almost bought some of this UNTIL I took a closer look! Can't wait to see how you end up using it.
What a great fabric, perfect with orange and black for Halloween.
Thanks for sending me the link to this post...now to find some of this fabric online!
