It's been a very busy week. The show in Sanford was wonderful. It was great to see Faye (Carolina Stitcher) and Judy (Jaytee's Patchwork Place) again as well as other non-bloggy friends that I have met over the past 3 years.
Monday and Tuesday found me in the dye pots again. Today I was supposed to be dyeing wool again but it was just too rainy and cold to be hauling water from the garden spigot into the Wool Barn and out again. So I spent the day sewing a new Spring sample. It was nice getting behind the sewing machine again.
These are 24 paper-pieced carrots as part of a cotton pieced/wool appliqued wall hanging designed by Cheri Payne called tada .... Twenty Four Carrots. Finished top coming soon ......
Yesterday I finally was allowed to babysit Sweet Baby Girl (SBG)! Mommy had to go to the dentist. It had been a long time since I changed a diaper but it only took me two tries to become an expert again!
Lucky for me, Mommy has to go back to the dentist next Monday and I get to spend time with her again.
I think this time I will take handwork and give her the first lesson (of many) on how to work with wool! But with a face like that it will be very hard for me to pick up thread and needle . . . . . .

You'll laugh, but before I read your post, I thought those were orange trees! LOL SBG sure is a cutie! :0)
We are cold up here in VA too. Snow dusting. SBG is a lil doll!! Lucky you!
Who are you kidding? You are so NOT going to stitch *s* And no one would blame you one little bit. She is just delicious!
Beautiful trees. And the babygirl is so cute.
Liebe Grüße Grit
Your booth at the show was AWESOME as it always is!!!!!! So good to see you Grammie!!!!!
What a doll baby! I'm thinking there won't be a lot of stitching going on when you have her...ENJOY every minute!
I thought those were trees too lol.
That granddaughter of yours is beautiful!!! Grab all the babysitting you can get...that's what I do. I have a date to spend a whole week with our little Lexi in March while her daycare is on vacation. She is now 15 mos. and is growing so fast.
Looking forward to seeing that whole quilt with all those pp carrots when done.
Smitten and envious here!
your carrots are cute and so is your baby granddaughter. I wouldn't be doing hand work either if I had little grandbabies to hold instead!
She is just a little doll. I don't think I told you at guild, but I have another grandchild on the way - due in July. This will be Jennie's 5th !
Happy days, cute baby and cute carrots!
