Some days I need a reminder . . . . .

Wool Barn update . . . . .

I haven't posted a Wool Barn update in quite a while.  I am still not out there full-time because of lack of insulation/temperature issues.  I can tolerate it first thing in the morning until about noon and then in the evening after the sun goes behind the trees until midnight LOL.  Dear Hubby is trying his best to get it done but he has until the end of July to finish his Masters and that is more important right now.  I can work around that.

Here are some pics of what I have added and how messy it is!

This is one half of my cutting table.  Two IKEA kitchen base cabinets without doors.  Love the bins.  Under $5.00 with the lid at IKEA.  They hold kits-in-progress.  I will add the same size cabinets to the back of this when I make more money so I will have a 48" x 72" cutting table!

On the left is the cabinet that I showed a few months ago with two sets of drawers for all my "stuff".  You can see a wall of wool texture samples hanging next to the window.  That's a lot of different textures!  The black dresser behind my Goodwill find chair holds my office and kit supplies.

To the right of my Goodwill chair is 5 frames with 4 baskets each - also from IKEA - filled with my personal stash.  Not all of the baskets are even filled.  Two have kits that I haven't bought  the plastic bins for yet and one has wool.

I hate being this cluttered with stuff sitting on every flat surface but until I can get the rest of the cabinets and shelves in place that I want, there just isn't enough room for all my stuff. And NO I don't have too much stuff.  It will all fit in some day.  I have a plan!

Just now getting to my first break .... what a crazy morning.

I didn't bring my camera with me but Dear Hubby has a smart phone (mine, not so much).

The booth first thing this morning .....

Last year, we were thrilled to fill 20 feet of this wall.  This year we took up 28 of the 30 feet available.  He couldn't get it all in one picture.  I told you I have been busy!

I did sneak away a little from the cash register to have my photo taken with Sunny from Quilting Dreams.

We couldn't even find a break in the crowd so we have some others in the background.  I hope they don't mind.  It was nice to finally meet her and from our short time together, she seems like someone I could really hang out with for a long time.

Off to Annapolis . . . . .

Dear Hubby and I are on the road heading towards Annapolis, Maryland . . . .

All the information you need is right here ..... Annapolis Quilt Guild.  The show is this Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5 (Saturday) and 11 to 5 (Sunday) and is held at Annapolis High School on Riva Road.  This is a very large guild with over 300 members.  The show was fantastic last year and I'm sure will be even better this year.  There will be 25 vendors and a large "country store" which is where they sell their boutique items and gently used quilting items.

I have been working hard to fill my new trailer with wool.  I have lots of kits including these new kits ....

Cabin Friends
Sweet Summer Time
In The Meadow
and new magazines . . . . .

Summer issue - $9.99
Wool Street Journal - $11.00
along with new patterns and books.  There will be new wool colors including a brighter orange called "Mango" - sorry, no picture 'cause I was cutting and folding and packing up to the last minute.  I have new samples made and some new homespuns cut.

Hope you can come by and visit!  If you aren't going to be in the greater Washington, DC area, my next show will be in Wilmington, North Carolina later in the month.  Then back in the greater Charlotte area in July at the Mooresville quilt show.  More details on those to come.

Lookie at my new toy .....

Do you know how much wool I can carry in this little beauty?  And patterns and homespuns and books and needles?

I've had one back-up-the-truck-to-the-hitch lesson and one back-up-the-whole-mess-to-really-close-to-where-I-want-it lesson.  Have a lot more lessons to go.

Good thing I have a good teacher!
