A little change in plans .....

Because little ones' schedules are always changing, so does this MaMa's schedule. Our hours are the same but the days have changed. Shakerwood Woolens is open Mondays and Wednesdays thru Saturdays from 9 until 5 EST (or closed Tuesdays and Sundays). Of course, the website is always open. Gotta dash ..... I hear my name ...... again!

New year ...... new promise .....

I have vowed to myself (that way I don't disappoint anyone but me!) to blog more again.  I miss blogging .... I miss reading blogs.

This isn't the best post to start the new year off with but it is what it is.

We said goodbye to our big ole teddy bear this past week. He came to us with his son, Nelson, at a time when I needed something desperately ..... and I'm sure he needed us, too. He was truly a gentle giant that never wanted more than a good head rub and to be fed on time. Rest pain-free now, Reagan. We'll miss you terribly .....

Many of you have asked about the Liberty Girls and what they are all about. Designed by Liberty Rose Patterns, these girls are based off the original Miss Jump books designed by the late Linda Brannock and for right now are only available through Shakerwood Woolens. Liberty Rose was given permission by Linda to "tweak" Miss Jump and so they did! All 11 girls are available in pattern form on the website. 7 of them have been kitted with the remaining 4 being kitted soon. Each order containing one of the Liberty Girls patterns and/or kits will come with a bonus sheet of Sharon's alphabet for you to change the name if you want.

Rustic Wool Moire threads are here!.....

We have just added a new line of threads to our website and in our booth at shows!

Rustic Wool Moire threads from Spain are 100% wool threads that are a little coarser than usual but the possibilities are wonderful.  Just right for a more primitive, 

heather-y look ....... these can be used for wool applique, embroidery stitches, crazy stitches as well as punch needle!

We have/had 50 colors available.  It went live on the website yesterday afternoon.  When we woke up this morning, 17 colors were sold out!  But if you see a color you like that is "out of stock", we have added a "wishlist" button.  Not an obligation but  to give us an idea of what to re-order and how much.

To keep all the balls juggling in the air (cause that's what we do!), my new office hours effective immediately are Tuesday thru Saturday from 9:00 until 5:00 EST.

I try really hard to make sure I can spend time with the Hubster, the grandkids, the Lord, the sewing machine, the garden and my inner soul (not necessarily in that order!) along with running a business so please don't take it personally if I don't answer emails late at night or answer my phone on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks for understanding!

Setup starts this afternoon for the Carolina One Stop Shop Hop! It's a wonderful one day vendor-only show located in Lancaster, South Carolina on the USC-Lancaster campus. Time is from 9 - 4 on Saturday. We're expecting great weather tomorrow (unlike some other years) so come out and visit!

This Saturday is the 10th annual Carolina One Stop Shop Hop on the USC-Lancaster campus in Lancaster, South Carolina. Always a wonderful turnout for this one day, vendor-only show.
